Marketing Coordinator/Technical Writer
Westlake
is seeking a Marketing Coordinator/Technical Writer to support staff in all areas with drafting and preparation of proposals and technical reports. This position offers opportunities for growth and for learning about the built environment. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years experience in the Architectural Engineering industry. Of particular note, experience with renewable energy projects (wind, solar, geothermal), and experience with high tolerance measurement services (industrial 3D) as well as laser scanning would be a plus.
Working with Westlake Project Managers, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating with staff, writing, editing and production of proposals-and related marketing materials for submittal to both private and public sector clients. The skills necessary to perform effectively as part of the proposal team include project research, technical writing and layout, team organization, desktop publishing, graphic design, and production. Proficiency with all or many of the following will be necessary: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign and/or Publisher, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, and PhotoShop.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator capable of working in a deadline-driven environment, have strong systematic thinking and data organizing skills, and be committed to maintaining systems for generating, filing and expediting access to marketing materials.
The Marketing Coordinator will also be responsible for marketing administration support, such as tracking leads/projects/markets and creating and maintaining a well-organized, up-to-date inventory of project descriptions and resumes to efficiently and effectively respond to RFPs/RFQs. The primary strength that is required is technical writing with a genuine interest in the A/E world. In addition, web page design and/or HTML experience a plus.

Survey Instrument Person
We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 3 years experience using GPS, robotics, and data collection for boundary, topographic, and construction layout. Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel.

Laser Scan and Precise Measurement Team Member
We are looking to add a key member to our laser scanning and specialized measurement team. This division works with clients in a variety of industries including high tech, marine, building construction, civil engineering and manufacturing. Our expanding market in providing these specialized surveying services requires that we grow to meet increasing demands.
Our objective is to add one person with the right experience and skills, who is interested in working in the office and field, and who wishes to grow into a Project Manager position.
The ideal candidate will offer the following:
- A four year degree from an accredited college.
- Laser scanning experience including data processing.
- AutoCAD experience for drafting and calculations (preferably 3D AutoCAD).
- Experience with other 3D software a plus (Autodesk Navisworks, 3D Studio Max, Cyclone, Kubit, etc.).
- A strong understanding of geometry and its application in surveying for tight tolerance measurement and layout.
- Ability to travel and pass drug screening and background checks for badging in secure environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying as a survey crew chief performing construction staking, boundary, ALTA and topo surveys; proficient with robotic total stations, GPS, and data collectors; good organization, note-taking, and writing skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills and a commitment to team work.
- An excellent work ethic, combined with an active mind and problem-solving abilities.
