Data & Deliverables

Example of dimensioning from a point cloud. |

Scan data was modeled to show the church celing trusses. |

A small portion of an AutoCAD drawing produced using scan data. |
All data can be geo-referenced.
Conventional or GPS survey control can be used to tie scan data to a known coordinate system such as a plant grid system, a local control network, the geometry of a ship, or geographic/geodetic control.
All site data can be tied to a single coordinate system.
For example, data from different floors of a building can be tied to the building exterior or a common grid, and different perspectives of a freeway interchange can be tied to the state plane system. The hull, decks, and interior of a ship or boat can all be related to the vessel's geometry.
We can provide drawings, dimensions, analysis, and renderings to depict existing conditions.
- On-site, we offer preliminary dimensioning.
- In the office, we can render the point cloud to provide models, graphics for presentations, and exhibits for project planning.
- We can analyze data to identify distortion or deformation.
- We can also provide AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings in hard copy or electronic file formats. MicroStation compatible data files are also available.
Free or low-cost software enables end-users to work directly with the scan data.
- With some training and appropriate software, end-users can view the data and take dimensions.
- This enhances the accessibility and value of scan data.
- When addtional processing or deliverables are needed, we are available to help.
We offer options for layout and verification.
- Where tolerances are not demanding and there are minimal 3D challenges, we use GPS and conventional survey methods for layout or staking.
- When faced with tight tolerances, 3D challenges, or complex shapes, we employ our precise 3D coordinate system for layout.
